Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for a PhD student position in “Theoretical Quantum Physics”. We are looking for bright, highly motivated and independent candidate with MSc degree in Physics, who is interested to do a PhD project at the border of exciting areas of quantum information theory, mesoscopic superconductivity, and quantum optics.
The project will concern front-edge fields of superconducting qubits and microwave quantum optics, with applications to quantum information processing. The project is closely connected to strong European research on solid state quantum information technology within the FP7 Consortium “SOLID”. The work will be done in close collaboration with advanced experimental groups at Chalmers and around the world.
